Logging and Capturing

We finished our logging on Friday the 29th January and began capturing the same day.

Logging is the process of watching the footage already filmed and writing down what shots you are going to use, this means you have to take note of:

  • The time the shot starts and ends.
  • What kind of shot it is.
  • Whether it is useful or not.
Before you can edit you also have to capture which involves going on to Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and pressing 'F5' to bring up a 'pop-up' window where you have to manually record the shots you want onto the computer. To make the editing more efficient the group tried to fill out:

  • Clip name.
  • Description.
  • Scene.
  • Shot/Take.
